7 weeks of break

Thursday, August 24th, 2006

My 7 weeks break has just started.

Here’s what has been planned:

10th - 16th September                                : Trip to China

17th September                                          : Japanese Festival at Waseda-Shibuya Senior High

20th (Afternoon) September                        : Grade 8 Piano Exam

20th (Night) - 30th September/1st October* : Trip to Melbourne(Manifest)

September would be a rather packed month, with so much activities.

* The date of return from Melbourne is tentatively unknown, due to the fact that the itinerary has yet to be planned.

It seems like YUI’s I Remember You release is also due on 20th September!

Japanese Senior High School Festival

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

This year’s Japanese Festival is held at Waseda-Shibuya Senior High School.

  • Elementary school (小学校 shōgakkō, lit. small school): 6 years, 6-12 years old
  • Middle school (中学校 chūgakkō, lit. middle school): 3 years, 12-15 years old
  • High school (高等学校 kōtōgakkō or 高校 kōkō, lit. High school): 3 years, 15-18 years old

Source: Wikipedia < Link>

The students there are probably 18-21 years old, since high school’s up to 18 years old.

We’ll be there for the free campus tour and then the festival! Join in the fun and games.

I’ll try to take as much photos as possible, given these events come annually.

That Phase of Adolescence

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006

I vaguely remember being hit by the phase of adolescence during the age of 15-16.

It was terrible. I was in the ‘The-whole-world-is-against-me’ shit and being an idiot thinking I was l33t.

Anyway, I found the first sketchbook/notebook that I used back in secondary school.

I used to write down the words that described my thinking everyday, starting with Act 1, so on and so forth.
I would then display them on my MSN display name “Act.1: Isolation

I wrote up to Act 37. But it actually goes on all the way till act 99 or even way pass 130.

Ah. The period of adolescent, nostalgic yet a difficult phase to go through.

Note: This is probably one of the more embarassing post I have written :)
