BOME’s Castoffable Akira

Haven’t bought any BOME figures since last year but their latest installment’s sure is a must buy.

This seems to be a first for Kaiyodo’s Bome Collection Series. Just over the weekend,  they released a display set of their first top castoff-able  PVC figure, Akira (#26) over at the company’s Hobby Lobby in Akihabara, Japan.

She’s an original character that was first released by BOME as a garage kit during Wonder Festival back in 1999 (Man, I was watching Rurouni Kenshin back then).

This figure is due to be out this coming Decemeber at a price of 4,725 yen. Makes a lovely Christmas present don’t you think?

More and more figures getting the castoff-able treatment. Wonder if it’s a shift to castoff-ables ^o^

Won’t mind getting 2 of them ^^; The moar the merrier!

  1. Interesting, a BOME figure that’s cast off lol. It looks pretty good too, I have one BOME figure in my collection, the succubus ^^. But what really interests me is the price, over here the BOME figures sell for around 2500 yen but this new one will be 4,725 yen, maybe due to the cast off feature and possibly better PVC material? I’m not sure but I will be watching out for this figure next year when it will most likely come around here. I never cared for cast-off as long as its something I thought looked nice and cute lol.

  2. could you please explain how to cast clothes off ?
please this is driving me crazy !
