SOY 2008 - Cosplay @ Ngee Ann Poly
With just slightly a month after “EOY 2007″ the last cosplay event, the cosplay shenanigans over at Japanese Tsubasa Club (JTC) have decided to host an cosplay event at the Start of the year in Ngee Ann Polytechnic (Hey it’s my school!), to compliment it’s counterpart, EOY.
Taken about 400-ish photos here and have filtered the cosplay ones out. Will just dump the images here for you guys to enjoy as I’m too busy with Rin at the moment ^^;
Truth be told, I had almost though the event would have been a flop at first. The first location, the atrium, was a bad enough place to be due to it’s lack of lightning and weird layout, and the second location chosen was a lecture theatre - which meant that I had to be in front of the theatre to get any decent shots.
Anyway, enough babbling and enjoy the pictures!

On the overall, I pretty much enjoyed taking shots of the cosplayers despite the change in venue etc. Also saw an increase in the number of photographers using DSLRs. It was also nice to see familiar faces from previous events.

Canon EOS 400D, rented EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM and Speedlite 580EX Mk II. Note to self: Remember to bring extra batteries for the speedlite.

The Kureha, Shimei, and goth girls looked. Did you see the Nel cosplayer there? I thought that was cute considering the person being the right size for it lol, seeing a tall Nel would have been scary.

Your photos are very nice and sharp! I really love the first one. Artistic & sentimental - sorta relieved yet sad kinda feel to it. The shot of the two lolitas are kinda quite too. Very natural!
