Moeside.net Second Anniversary
“It ain’t MOE if it’s EMO!”
And it’s the second year already! Time has sure passed very quickly during the whole of last year. It’s amazing how much changes have been made and the number of new visitors that have arrived. A big thank you to all!
I started off with registering a domain back in 2006, wanting to set up a blog but had no direction back then. Started off with a lot of personal writings and emotional stuff, deciding only to change to an anime/otaku blog exactly one year ago.
Of course, I have regretted not setting any goals for myself and this site when I first started. The latest alexa ranking for moeside.net is 205,393, which has dropped from the near 130,000 back in January.
For this year however, I have decided to set a couple of goals in order not to lose track of myself and also the direction of which the blog is headed. Some goals include
- New Theme
- News Articles by the sidebar
- User information sharing and participation
- Dynamic Content
- Additional Features (Am still thinking of them)
These few goals are probably going to keep me as busy as I can be. I’ll also be looking at some of the changes to be brought about for the direction of the site as well.
And also, hope that Moeside.net will have many more anniversaries to come by. I would like to look at a 5 or 10 years anniversary thing :p
Now, would like to ask each of you guys what do you like and what would you like to see or read about on moeside.net.

Nah,just kidding. Regular updates will do ^^ One thing I’m amazed about Moeside is how you can link so many posts to real life.
2 years!!! That’s one big milestone!!! I had a couple of sites back then. Well, they were graphic sites. Max lasted for less then 2 years. I hope Koi will be a site that will last a long time.
I say, regular updates will do for me. Also, would love to see lots more pictures!!!

Congratulations on getting by two years. You’re bound to go through peaks and spikes in traffic so don’t sweat it. I think the content is fine as it is, just reality coming crashing in that often results in having less time being devoted to the blog (even more so now that you have NS coming up).
Grats on two years! As for what we would like to see more here…of course it’s more MOE! But more things about Photography would be nice as well, but first MOE.

Happy 2 years, Windbell! I like Moeside for its strange otaku/Japanese articles, as well as the Byousoku 5 Centimeter articles (which is how I discovered your blog). I also like reading your posts about life in Singapore and anything about photography. =D
