I’ve heard Zero no Tsukaima Season III is good stuff. Tiffania bust revolution!

Akiba Keizai has reported on this new souvenir drink that has just started it sales in stores. Yes! Another product to targeted at the warm innocent otakus of Akiba by splashing moé characters on the labels of the drink.

The new akiba drink apparently comes in two different types. A School Swimsuit 「すくみず」 and  Meibi (Meido?) 「めいびぃ」 version. The uber chibi characters featured on both the bottles are Mari 「まり」and Rin 「りん」, both Year 1 students from the same class, class C.

The concept of the School Swimsuit 「すくみず」 drink comes the image of 2 people happily frolicking in the pool during the summer season, thus having a fruit flavored pineapple taste to the drink.

On the other hand, Meibi 「めいびぃ」 came from the idea of an tsundere maid tea cafe opened by both Mari and Rin during their school festival, which serves non-alcoholic green apple beer. The drink has been manufactured to look like a beer and even has foams bubbling out to add to the experience.

I did think it was actually water that swimsuit girls have used and then it got bottled into a drink or something. Don’t look at me like that! Imagination runs wild.. ^^;

After reading the contents of the drink, I am happy to actually say I would actually want to give it a try, though somewhere and somehow deep in my heart I have that feeling that the drink might be a disappointment. Won’t know till I try though ^^;

Meido drink isn’t half as bad either :)

A lot of these ‘Akiba’ souvenirs have seem to be popping out in stores. I remember getting the Moetan Snack while in Japan last year which tasted pretty good. Only complaint’s that it did tasted a little burnt.

Will try to see if I can get hold of those drinks. ^^
